APPLICATIONS WITH LIN COMMUNICATION
LIN (Local Interconnect Network) is a serial network protocol used for communication between vehicle components which uses a single cable that supports communications up to 19.2 Kbit/s over a bus length of 40 meters.
The need for a cost-effective serial network arose as the technologies and installations implemented in the automobile grew, while the CAN bus was too costly to implement for each component of the automobile.
